Vice President Investment Team

About the role

Mercuria is seeking a Vice President to join its Investment Team and lead the execution of principal investments across the Group's commodity footprint. This hands‑on role involves managing deals from diligence through to signing, integration and post‑closing value creation.

Key responsibilities

• Structure and execute equity, hybrid, joint‑venture and M&A investments across energy, power, infrastructure, metals, minerals and energy‑transition assets.
• Lead end‑to‑end transaction workstreams, including valuation, diligence, adviser management, negotiation, closing and initial integration.
• Prepare and present investment theses, risk analyses and recommendations to the Investment Committee.
• Collaborate with trading desks, finance, risk, legal, tax and compliance to ensure commercial coherence.
• Manage portfolio investments post‑closing, including board observer duties, value‑creation initiatives and exit preparation.

Required profile

• ~7+ years of experience in principal investing, private equity, infrastructure investing, commodity‑trading investment or related investment banking roles.
• Proven track record of completing transactions to close, with detailed knowledge of deal structures and performance.
• Sector expertise in at least one of energy, power, renewables, infrastructure, metals/mining or energy transition.
• Strong commercial judgement, high integrity and awareness of reputational, sanctions and compliance risks.
