Senior FP&A Analyst

About the role

Cembra's Financial Planning & Analytics team turns financial and non-financial information into insight that supports management decisions. As a Senior FP&A Analyst (80-100% time), you will strengthen planning, forecasting, performance management and management information across Finance, going beyond report preparation to analyse performance drivers, challenge assumptions and improve forecasting transparency.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse financial and non-financial performance, including variances, trends, risks and opportunities
• Turn management questions into KPIs, reports, dashboards and recommendations
• Support month-end and year-end processes with accurate, timely analysis
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning, maintaining planning models and scenarios
• Assess the financial implications of business choices and challenge assumptions constructively
• Design and improve reporting applications, data models and data-transformation processes
• Simplify, standardise and automate reporting and planning processes with Finance, business functions and Technology
• Support colleagues in using management information and analytical tools

Required profile

• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline
• At least five years of experience in management accounting, financial reporting, planning or FP&A
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards, including US GAAP or IFRS
• English communication skills; German is an advantage

Required skills

• BI and analytics tools such as Qlik Sense or Power BI, including data modelling and ETL
• Advanced Excel, including Power Query and Power Pivot
• Experience with ERP and general ledger systems is an advantage
