Senior Infrastructure Project Manager – IT & Physical Projects

About the role

ALTEN Switzerland is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Project Manager to lead large‑scale IT and physical infrastructure initiatives. You will define scope, budget, timelines and resources while ensuring regulatory and security compliance across data‑center upgrades, network rollouts and cloud migrations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans, define scope, objectives, deliverables and timelines for cloud, network and data‑center projects.
• Act as the central point of contact for senior management, business leaders, technical teams and vendors, communicating progress and risks.
• Identify, mitigate and report risks; ensure adherence to internal processes, security policies and financial regulations.
• Oversee budgets, track expenses and allocate personnel, equipment and materials efficiently.
• Lead, mentor and develop cross‑functional teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Ensure projects follow established methodologies (Agile, Waterfall), manage change control and oversee UAT and knowledge transfer to operations.
• Align infrastructure solutions with strategic objectives for front, middle and back‑office functions.

Required profile

• Proven track record managing complex IT/infrastructure projects in a financial services environment.
• Strong understanding of cloud, networking, security and hardware domains.
• Expertise in project‑management methodologies such as PMP and PRINCE2.
• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Experience with budgeting, risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Fluent in Italian and English.
