Senior Intellectual Property Counsel

About the role

As a senior intellectual property counsel, you will partner with prestigious luxury maisons to design and execute IP strategies that protect brand equity and drive sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic, business‑oriented legal advice on IP matters and design IP strategies aligned with the Maisons’ objectives.
• Act as a trusted advisor to Maison teams, anticipating risks and offering insights to support growth.
• Embed IP considerations into product development and business expansion by collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
• Develop and deliver training programs on IP issues and best practices for Maison teams.
• Conduct global searches and clearance checks, including prior‑art searches for new designs.
• Oversee trademark, copyright, and design‑rights strategies, filings and registrations, working closely with the paralegal team.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of IP agreements and IP clauses in commercial contracts.
• Validate new products and campaigns for IP clearance and ensure appropriate protection.
• Manage global enforcement of IP rights, coordinating with external counsel and building anti‑counterfeiting strategies.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in intellectual property law, preferably within the luxury sector.
• Proven ability to act as a trusted business partner and provide strategic IP advice.
• Strong knowledge of trademark, copyright, and design‑right practices.
• Experience conducting global IP searches, clearances, and enforcement actions.
