Senior IT Auditor – Banking Sector

About the role

We are seeking a certified Senior IT Auditor to join the Group Internal Audit team of an international bank in Zurich. Reporting directly to the Chairman of the Board and the Audit Committee, you will provide assurance on governance, risk management and internal controls across global business divisions.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute audit assignments on time, within budget and according to audit standards.
• Assess processes, governance, risk management and internal control environments, including Operations and IT areas.
• Discuss identified weaknesses with auditees and recommend actionable remediation.
• Prepare audit reports and follow‑up on issue remediation.
• Monitor risk profile, contribute to annual risk assessments and stay informed on regulatory changes and emerging technologies such as robotics.
• Engage proactively with stakeholders, building transparent and trusted relationships.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Information Technology.
• Professional certification (CPA, CIA or CISA).
• Experience in audit, risk management, operations or IT within the financial industry.
• Knowledge of front‑to‑back banking processes, especially operations.
• Strong analytical mindset, high quality delivery and independent work capability.
• Fluent in German (C1/2) and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
