Senior IT Solutions Architect – Digital Payments

About the role

Viseca is looking for a senior IT Solutions Architect to lead the design and modernization of its cashless payment platforms. You will work closely with architects, product and engineering teams, as well as partner banks, to translate complex business needs into secure, scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the evolution of legacy payment systems into next‑generation, event‑driven platforms, collaborating with cross‑functional teams in Zurich and Bioggio.
• Define integration strategies for high‑volume payment processing, risk management, and fraud detection ecosystems.
• Champion application modernization using microservices, API design (REST, OpenAPI, gRPC) and event streaming (Kafka).
• Embed Zero Trust security, conduct STRIDE‑LM threat modeling, and ensure compliance with FINMA and PCI DSS.
• Participate in enterprise architecture governance, documenting applications and data flows with tools such as LeanIX.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science or related field (ETH, Uni, FH).
• Several years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture, especially with large‑scale distributed systems.
• Deep knowledge of financial services infrastructure, payment processing workflows and standards (e.g., EMV, ep2).
• Strong communication skills in English and German; Italian is a plus.
