Senior Lead - Footwear Costing

About the role

The Senior Lead – Footwear Costing Strategy & Margin Governance shapes the brand’s footwear costing strategy and margin governance across the entire product creation lifecycle. Reporting to the Head of Footwear Costing, the role partners with creation leadership to drive cost transparency, margin optimisation and sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve the footwear costing operating model, governance standards and strategic direction.
• Lead end‑to‑end margin governance from target margin setting through target FOB, collaborating with product, innovation, sustainability, sourcing and finance functions.
• Own global costing methodologies, tools, dashboards and reporting standards, ensuring data integrity and a single source of truth.
• Drive digital transformation, automation and continuous improvement of costing processes.

Required profile

• University degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in footwear costing, sourcing, supply‑chain finance or product economics within a premium or performance footwear brand.
• Strong understanding of footwear construction, manufacturing processes and key cost drivers.
• Adaptable, resilient communicator in fast‑paced, cross‑cultural environments.

Required skills

• Advanced analytical capability with strong proficiency in Excel.
• Strong proficiency in PowerPoint for executive‑level presentations.
