Senior Legal Counsel – Banking & Corporate Finance (80-100%)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join the corporate legal team of a major Swiss bank. The role focuses on advising on complex corporate financing transactions and supporting the development of new financing solutions across Zurich, Lausanne and St. Gallen.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive legal advice on corporate financing transactions, including bilateral and syndicated loans, collateral and security agreements, and guarantee arrangements.
• Advise and support the corporate client business on a broad range of legal matters, particularly in French‑speaking Switzerland.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial and financing agreements and collaborate with external law firms when required.
• Assist in cases of payment default and related disputes.
• Support the development of new business areas and digital financing services, working closely with internal stakeholders in Legal, Compliance and the wider business.

Required profile

• Swiss Bar admission strongly preferred, with at least four years of post‑admission experience in banking and financial markets law.
• Solid experience in corporate financing, loan agreements, securities and guarantees.
• Ability to quickly master new and complex areas of law and work independently with a solution‑oriented mindset.
• Fluent in French and German, with a very good command of English.
