Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

Kanadevia Inova is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to lead corporate governance and legal support across its global waste‑to‑value operations. The role will ensure compliance, manage corporate records, and provide strategic legal advice to multiple business units.

Key responsibilities

• Support and oversee the Group’s corporate structure and governance activities across multiple jurisdictions.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external corporate governance requirements.
• Maintain accurate corporate records and draft, review, and file corporate documentation.
• Develop and update corporate governance policies, Group policies, and procedures.
• Support M&A transactions and post‑acquisition integration of newly acquired entities.
• Provide legal advice and contract support to Sales, Business Development, Engineering, IT, HR, Finance, and Procurement.
• Advise and train directors and employees on corporate governance responsibilities and legal obligations.
• Manage paralegals, identify legal risks, and prepare reports on the Group’s corporate activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law; professional certifications are a plus.
• At least 8 years of in‑house legal experience covering commercial law, corporate law, and governance.
• Experience in the engineering or construction industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with Swiss corporate law and legal entity management tools is advantageous.
• Fluent English mandatory; German or other European languages an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Independent yet collaborative working style with leadership and risk‑management capabilities.
