Senior Legal Counsel MedTech Switzerland

About the role

We are looking for a senior legal professional to join Johnson & Johnson MedTech in Switzerland. The role provides strategic legal support to the local business, working closely with senior leaders and the EMEA Senior Legal Director Digital & Robotics. The position offers autonomy, hybrid work and the chance to influence innovative MedTech projects, including digital and AI‑enabled solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Act as an independent strategic legal business partner for the Swiss MedTech business.
• Participate in local leadership meetings and advise senior managers on commercial, corporate, healthcare compliance, contract and tender matters.
• Provide pragmatic guidance on public procurement and tender processes, including risk identification and support for innovative solutions.
• Draft, review and standardise critical agreements, contracts and legal documents.
• Develop and improve local legal processes, templates and guidelines to enhance operational efficiency.
• Deliver practical training on contract law, competition law, anti‑bribery, public procurement, data protection and digital/AI regulatory topics.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and translate them into actionable recommendations for the business.

Required profile

• Swiss‑qualified lawyer with several years of experience in commercial, corporate and healthcare law.
• Proven ability to act as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders.
• Experience with public procurement, tender processes and regulatory compliance in the MedTech sector.
• Strong analytical skills and the capacity to develop practical legal solutions.
• Fluency in English; German or French is a plus.
