Senior Legal Counsel – MedTech (Switzerland)

About the role

Johnson & Johnson MedTech is seeking a senior, strategic legal professional to join its Swiss team. The role provides direct exposure to senior leadership and influences key business decisions while navigating a highly regulated healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Act as an independent strategic legal business partner for MedTech operations in Switzerland, enabling growth and practical decision‑making.
• Partner closely with business leaders, participate in local leadership meetings and serve as a trusted advisor.
• Provide pragmatic, timely legal advice on commercial, corporate, healthcare compliance, contract and tender matters.
• Advise on public procurement and tender processes, identify risks early and support innovative solutions.
• Support critical agreements, standardise processes and guidelines for recurring legal matters.
• Develop and improve local legal processes, templates, guidance and ways of working.
• Deliver practical training to local teams on contract law, competition law, anti‑bribery, public procurement, data protection, digital and AI topics.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and translate them into clear actions for the Swiss MedTech business.

Required profile

• Swiss‑qualified lawyer with significant experience in corporate and healthcare law.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of MedTech, digital health and AI‑related regulatory issues.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to provide clear, pragmatic advice.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid setting (Zug or Zuchwil).
