(Senior) Manager – Advanced AI & Intelligent Systems

About the role

PwC is hiring a (Senior) Manager for its Tax Products Delivery Group in Zurich. The team builds intelligent systems for knowledge-intensive environments by combining frontier models with deep domain expertise and enterprise data, delivering enterprise AI platforms, reusable accelerators and proprietary IP. As Senior Manager you set the direction for engagements, lead client relationships and grow the AI and business transformation offering.

Key responsibilities

• Work with senior stakeholders on AI and data strategies, define architectures and solution blueprints, and ensure solutions are robust, scalable and adopted in practice.
• Drive the innovation agenda and help build the market presence and pipeline.
• Identify problems where AI can improve work and decisions in complex legal, tax and corporate environments.
• Design intelligent systems across models, agents, knowledge, retrieval, enterprise integration and human interaction.
• Prototype, evaluate and turn strong ideas into production-grade systems with engineers and domain experts.
• Create reusable architectures, accelerators and capabilities that scale across clients.
• Advise senior leaders and translate complex technology into clear choices.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, domain experts and consultants.
• Evaluate emerging research, models and technologies.

Required profile

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent exceptional experience.
• 7+ years building, architecting or leading sophisticated AI/data solutions in complex environments.
• Experience designing secure, production-grade AI systems, including enterprise integration, data privacy, access control and auditability.
• Strong interest in reasoning, knowledge representation and intelligent systems; knowledge graphs, ontologies or semantic architectures are a plus.
• Fluent English; German fluency is a strong plus.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of LLMs, agentic systems, RAG, evaluation and modern AI architectures.
• Hands-on: fluent in Python and/or TypeScript, able to prototype, review code and challenge architectural decisions.
• Ability to turn ambiguous problems into clear concepts, architectures and working solutions, and to communicate them to engineers and executives.
