Senior Manager – Wealth Management / Asset Management

About the role

PwC's Financial Services Strategy & Transformation practice in Zurich is looking for a Senior Manager to advise Wealth Managers, Asset Managers, Private Banks, Family Offices and other financial services institutions on their strategic and transformation priorities. The role combines client advisory, leading large-scale transformation programmes and driving business development.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on strategic and transformation priorities across the wealth and asset management value chain, products, services and operating models
• Lead the design and delivery of transformation initiatives, including operating models, processes, organisational structures, products, services and technology-enabled change
• Lead complex transformation programmes and multidisciplinary teams, managing senior client stakeholders and project delivery teams
• Collaborate across PwC's consulting practice to deliver integrated transformation solutions
• Drive business development: build client relationships, identify opportunities, lead proposals and contribute to the practice's market presence through thought leadership
• Develop thought leadership, service offerings and market propositions, and lead RfP responses, proposal development and go-to-market initiatives
• Deepen industry expertise and leverage emerging technologies, including AI, to improve delivery and create value for clients
• Support clients with investment management system selection and implementation, target operating models and data models

Required profile

• Excellent university degree (Master's level or equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Information Technology or a related discipline
• 8+ years of experience in Wealth Management, Asset Management, Private Banking, Asset Servicing or broader Financial Services, ideally with management consulting experience for financial services clients
• Proven track record leading large-scale strategic and transformation initiatives and business development, including proposals and RfPs
• Fluency in English; German is a strong advantage, and additional languages such as French are welcome
• Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally; work visa sponsorship available

Required skills

• Strong understanding of the end-to-end wealth and asset management value chain and its technology ecosystems (investment management platforms, portfolio management systems)
• Experience with operating model transformation, post-merger integration, platform transformation and business change programmes
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage senior stakeholder relationships in an international environment
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with an entrepreneurial mindset
