Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Precision Machining

About the role

Our client, an established industrial manufacturer in Jura, Switzerland, seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to drive the optimisation and modernisation of precision machining operations. You will work on improving processes, designing production cells and supporting equipment decisions within a multidisciplinary technical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Optimise precision machining processes and production workflows.
• Design and implement new production cells.
• Lead Lean and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Evaluate, select and implement production equipment and tooling.
• Improve factory layouts and manufacturing flow.
• Develop and validate tooling and fixturing solutions.
• Review and enhance CNC programming sequences.
• Coordinate technical activities across production and engineering teams.

Required profile

• More than 10 years of experience in industrial production environments.
• At least 5 years in manufacturing engineering or a closely related function.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical discipline.
• Full professional proficiency in French.

• Hands‑on experience with precision machining equipment (lathes, milling centres, grinding systems).
• Lean and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
• Production equipment evaluation and selection.
• Tooling and fixturing development.
• CNC programming and machining logic optimisation.
