Senior MES Recipe Designer

About the role

Shape the future of digital manufacturing by translating complex production requirements into smart MES solutions that power shop floor operations and drive efficiency. This site‑based position in Stein, Switzerland, offers close, real‑time collaboration with manufacturing and IT teams.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and continuously optimise MES recipes by translating manufacturing specifications into digital production workflows and batch records.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Process Owners, Automation, and IT/OT teams to ensure seamless integration between MES and connected systems such as SAP, LIMS, and automation platforms.
• Develop, test, and maintain MES functionalities using TypeScript, ensuring reliable process execution, data integrity, and compliance with quality standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, data flows, and system interfaces, driving greater efficiency and automation across manufacturing operations.
• Provide MES subject‑matter expertise by supporting production activities, troubleshooting system‑related issues, and contributing to the evolution of MES capabilities.

Required profile

• Proven experience working with MES systems in a configuration, development, or programming capacity.
• Solid understanding of GMP‑regulated manufacturing environments and ability to translate production requirements into compliant digital solutions.
• Hands‑on programming experience in a modern language and strong interest in manufacturing applications.
• Fluent English communication skills; German language skills or willingness to learn are a plus.
