Senior Packaging Technician – Operations

About the role

The Senior Packaging Technician independently executes clinical packaging activities in compliance with SOPs, batch records and GMP/GDP/EHS requirements. The role covers primary and secondary packaging, operation of packaging and labeling systems, and serves as a technical point of contact for day‑to‑day packaging tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Perform primary and secondary packaging of clinical studies according to internal specifications, SOPs and batch records.
• Operate packaging and labeling equipment, conduct cleaning verification, and manage SAP transactions related to packaging.
• Train and support new technicians, coordinate bottle‑filling and labeling activities, and oversee compliance aspects of packaging orders.
• Prepare GMP documentation, batch notes, photographs and ensure accurate electronic logging in SAP, Word and Excel.

Required profile

• Completed apprenticeship in a life‑sciences‑related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, clinical packaging or a comparable GMP‑regulated environment.
• Native or fluent German and English at B1/B2 level or higher.
• Proven ability to work independently, follow procedures and maintain a strong quality and compliance mindset.

• Aseptic operations and cleanroom gowning.

• SAP ERP (including GRC and QM modules).
• Microsoft Office – Word and Excel.
• Batch record handling and documentation preparation.
