Senior Project/Program Manager – Aerospace & Defense

About the role

Fortil is seeking a Senior Project/Program Manager to lead strategic engineering programs for complex electronic products in the highly regulated aeronautics and defense sector in Switzerland. The role will coordinate multidisciplinary teams from development through industrialisation, ensuring delivery against technical, operational and business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex engineering programs with international stakeholders.
• Build and maintain project roadmaps, tracking milestones, budgets and quality targets.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams across product development, manufacturing and supply chain.
• Serve as primary interface between technical teams, suppliers and customers.
• Monitor supplier performance and support manufacturing readiness activities.
• Drive governance, performance indicators and risk assessments to support decision‑making.
• Provide senior management visibility through structured reporting and executive presentations.

Required profile

• Over 10 years of experience managing projects or programs in aeronautics, defense or other highly regulated industries.
• Proven track record delivering electronic equipment, embedded technologies or integrated systems.
• Strong knowledge of supplier coordination, industrial execution and product lifecycle management.
• Ability to interact confidently with executive stakeholders, engineering teams and customers.
• Professional proficiency in English.
