Senior Python Full Stack Developer

About the role

Join SCOR's IT Internal Modelling team to design and develop full‑stack solutions for computationally intensive risk applications. You will work with cutting‑edge technologies such as Python, Docker, DataBricks and Microsoft Azure, collaborating with quantitative developers and architects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain efficient, testable, reusable Python code and Docker containers for web platforms.
• Develop and enhance both front‑end and back‑end components for task orchestration applications.
• Architect and deploy solutions on Microsoft Azure, integrating Linux, Docker, DataBricks, JupyterHub and SQL Server.
• Collaborate with IT technical teams on automation, incident handling and third‑level support.
• Lead migration to a new web stack, contributing to design decisions and ensuring smooth transition.
• Introduce DevOps tools and frameworks to improve developer productivity and platform stability.
• Mentor colleagues, act as a technical reference point and drive engineering best practices.

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional experience building complex, scalable applications.
• Strong knowledge of Git, DevOps standards, Python and Docker.
• Proven full‑stack expertise with ownership of key platform components in business‑critical environments.
• Experience contributing to architecture discussions and modern engineering practices.
• Background in financial services, preferably insurance/reinsurance.
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to work in agile teams.
