Senior Risk Manager

About the role

Join Zurich's Group Risk Management team to shape risk governance frameworks, lead group‑wide risk assessments and support enterprise risk reporting for senior leadership and the Board.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of group‑wide standards, policies, guidelines and training for strategic and operational risk management.
• Develop and deliver Zurich’s key risk taker framework and drive continuous improvement of risk practices.
• Monitor internal and external environments, facilitate risk identification, conduct robust risk assessments and design decision‑useful risk scenarios.
• Provide high‑quality reporting on strategic, insurance and other key risk matters for leadership, the Board and Group stakeholders.

Required profile

• Approximately 7 years of experience in enterprise risk, operational risk, insurance risk, risk advisory, consulting or strategy, preferably in an international insurance environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in economics, business administration, actuarial science or finance; postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in English, with ability to translate technical matters for senior audiences.
• Deep knowledge of ERM and ORM principles, risk appetite and governance frameworks, and relevant Swiss insurance regulation.
