Senior Security Engineer (IT)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join a high‑impact remote team in Switzerland. You will strengthen and scale enterprise IT security operations, balancing hands‑on administration with strategic ownership of critical initiatives such as endpoint protection, identity management, compliance and data security.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage security administration for core IT platforms, including identity providers, collaboration tools and cloud‑based productivity systems.
• Lead deployment, configuration and ongoing management of endpoint security technologies such as MDM, DLP, EDR and device protection solutions.
• Support day‑to‑day IT and security operations during EMEA business hours, ensuring secure and reliable access to internal systems.
• Collaborate with Security teams on SOC2 compliance, audit readiness, policy development and continuous security improvements.
• Act as primary IT Systems contact during security incidents, coordinating investigations, response efforts and remediation.
• Monitor security alerts and dashboards, investigate and escalate issues as needed.
• Design and maintain access management structures based on least‑privilege principles.
• Conduct user access reviews, automate audit tasks and strengthen identity governance.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, workflows, FAQs and deployment procedures.
• Build dashboards, reports and integrations using APIs, logging systems and automation tools.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience supporting Windows, macOS and Linux environments in IT or security‑focused organisations.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with endpoint security solutions such as CrowdStrike, SentinelOne or similar EDR platforms.
• Strong expertise in SSO, SAML and identity management platforms including Okta, Google Workspace or equivalents.
• Proven experience managing mobile device management platforms such as Jamf, Workspace ONE or similar.
