Senior Software Engineer – Core Banking Platform

About the role

We are looking for a senior Software Engineer to develop and extend a core banking platform. The role combines backend development, data processing and quantitative finance to deliver high‑performance, regulatory‑compliant solutions for trade and financial data lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and operate backend services in Python and C#/.NET within a micro‑services architecture.
• Further develop and optimise the core banking platform supporting pre‑trade, execution and post‑trade processes.
• Process and model complex financial and transaction data in real‑time or near‑real‑time.
• Collaborate with architects, specialist departments and development teams to ensure performance, stability and quality of critical production systems.
• Support trading, risk and finance requirements through technical solutions.

Required profile

• Completed studies in computer science (Bachelor or Master) or comparable qualification.
• 12+ years of backend development experience in complex enterprise environments, preferably banking, trading or financial services.
• Fluent German (C1) and English (C1).
• Interest or experience in quantitative or analytical problems is desirable.
