Software Engineer – Product (Full‑Stack)

About the role

Adaptyv is creating an automated laboratory that lets AI agents run biology experiments. As a Software Engineer on the Product team, you will help build the LabOS platform that orchestrates experiment scheduling, execution, data capture, and results processing.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement APIs and interfaces that provide real‑time visibility of lab activities to scientists and AI agents.
• Develop custom AI‑driven tooling to automate decisions across the experiment lifecycle, from protocol design to troubleshooting.
• Turn proprietary hardware into API‑controllable devices, enabling programmatic operation by software agents.
• Create scheduling systems that coordinate dozens of instruments with complex dependency chains.
• Own large product areas, influencing architecture and implementation decisions.

Required profile

• Proven full‑stack production experience with a strong product mindset.
• Ability to work in ambiguous environments, define goals, and scope work independently.
• Comfort with AI tools and curiosity about applying software to biological experiments.
