Software Engineer – Scala

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer specialized in Scala to join our travel‑technology team. You will help shape the core platform that powers millions of vacation offers and ensures a seamless experience for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy scalable micro‑services in a cloud‑native environment.
• Maintain existing services, ensure reliability and performance, and take ownership of their lifecycle.
• Collaborate with product managers, platform engineers and other developers to deliver features aligned with an AI‑first mindset.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, balancing performance, security, compliance and cost.
• Participate in code reviews, share knowledge and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience building backend systems in distributed, micro‑service architectures.
• Result‑oriented, proactive and comfortable working in ambiguous situations.
• Strong communication skills and openness to giving and receiving constructive feedback.
• Passion for travel technology and a desire to evolve toward a solution‑architect role.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Scala (or modern Java with willingness to learn Scala).
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Hands‑on experience with micro‑services and cloud infrastructure.
