Software Engineer – Virtualization Monitoring & Troubleshooting

About the role

Nexthink is looking for a Software Engineer to join the team building a virtualization monitoring and troubleshooting platform. You will work on both backend and frontend services, create connectors to third‑party systems, and help customers gain deep visibility into their virtual infrastructures.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, deliver and validate new product features across backend, frontend and integration layers.
• Develop and maintain connectors to external APIs, ensuring reliable data exchange.
• Support and enhance existing features with a focus on scalability, performance and maintainability.
• Participate in L3 support, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to resolve issues.
• Contribute to architecture and design discussions and promote best practices.
• Work in an agile environment, taking part in sprint ceremonies and roadmap planning.
• Use AI tools daily and advocate for efficiency improvements.

Required profile

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in modern Java for backend development.
• Experience with ReactJS and TypeScript for frontend work.
• Solid understanding of API design and integration (REST, GraphQL).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS preferred, Azure or GCP acceptable).
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Datadog.
• Comfortable using Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to AI concepts, tools or integrations.
• Excellent written and spoken English with strong communication skills.
