About the role

Join Nestlé Research as a Specialist in Macronutrient Physiology and help shape the future of nutrition science. You will work within the Metabolic Health team of the Nestlé Institute of Health Sciences, providing expertise that bridges basic physiology with practical dietary solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute cross‑business research on macro‑ and micronutrient metabolism and nutrient quality.
• Analyse clinical and pre‑clinical data to generate hypotheses and uncover mechanistic insights linking diet to health outcomes.
• Strengthen scientific evidence by moving from observed correlations to causal mechanisms across populations and life stages.
• Develop innovative nutrient‑based intervention concepts and research approaches that support breakthrough product innovation.
• Translate scientific findings into actionable recommendations, intellectual property inputs, and R&D priorities.
• Communicate results internally and externally through publications, presentations, and strategic partnerships.

Required profile

• PhD in nutrition, physiology, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of scientific experience in macro‑ and micronutrient quality, metabolism, and human physiology.
• Proven ability to use clinical trial and nutrition‑intervention data to build mechanistic evidence.
• Strong systems‑biology thinking and data interpretation skills.
• Fluent English communication and collaborative mindset in an academic‑industry environment.
