Sr. Director Global Strategic Sourcing – Supply Chain

About the role

Reporting to the Vice President of Procurement, the Sr. Director Global Strategic Sourcing leads the development and execution of worldwide sourcing strategies for critical supply‑chain categories. The role spans inbound, intra‑company, and outbound logistics for a leading medical‑technology company.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain global and regional sourcing strategies for freight, warehousing, distribution, and supply‑chain software.
• Drive performance improvements in quality, service, total cost, risk management, innovation, and responsible sourcing.
• Co‑own the Scope 3 carbon‑emissions strategy for product and material transport.
• Lead a diverse team of sourcing and analytics professionals, overseeing spend penetration, risk sensing, budgeting, and supplier relationship management.
• Develop and manage tools and processes for market sensing, modeling, and assessment.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience in global strategic sourcing and procurement.
• Proven leadership of large, cross‑functional teams in a complex, regulated environment.
• Deep knowledge of freight logistics, 3PL/4PL contracts, and warehousing operations.
• Experience with carbon‑emissions strategy and risk management.
