About the role
We are looking for a curious, rigorous platform software engineer who codes and can help scale Ashby’s infrastructure as we grow rapidly across Europe. You will own end‑to‑end projects, improve our platform reliability, and enable engineers to ship features quickly.
Key responsibilities
- Optimize our home‑grown DSL‑to‑SQL compiler and build developer tooling.
- Create automated guardrails for security and privacy of customer data.
- Implement canary deployments, gradual rollouts, and feature flags while managing complexity and downtime.
- Define SLOs, implement SLIs, and ensure robust communication with external services using retries and circuit‑breakers.
- Build infrastructure for an event‑driven architecture and data warehouse.
Required profile
- Passionate about solving hard problems and building reliable, maintainable systems.
- Experience building infrastructure at a later‑stage startup, handling large data volumes and low churn environments.
- Comfortable making technical decisions independently and collaborating with product engineers.
