About the role

MSF is seeking a motivated graphic design and communication intern to support the GIS Centre in Geneva. The role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to humanitarian communication while gaining hands‑on experience with mapping tools and multimedia platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, produce and layout various communication documents, including technical fact‑sheets and GIS Flash Info newsletters (quarterly).
• Create and maintain templates for technical sheets, Word and PowerPoint presentations.
• Manage the GIS Centre’s YouTube channel and SharePoint site, ensuring up‑to‑date content.
• Support the organization of GIS events such as Mapathon and GIS Week.
• Assist in the development and implementation of the GIS communication plan and visual identity.
• Collaborate with GIS specialists to prepare field fiches and cartographic material.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic about graphic design, communication and humanitarian work.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt visual material for different audiences.
• Willingness to work in a multicultural, inclusive environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with GIS software or basic cartography concepts.
• Experience using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for template creation.
• Familiarity with SharePoint and YouTube content management.
