Structural Dynamics Engineer

About the role

Destinus is looking for an Aeroelastic/Structural Dynamics Engineer to lead simulation activities across its vehicle programmes. The role bridges analysis and testing to ensure dynamic behaviour is accurately predicted and validated against experimental data.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, run, and post‑process structural dynamics and aeroelastic simulations.
• Create and maintain Global Finite Element Models (GFEM) that represent vehicle‑level dynamics and stay consistent with local FE models.
• Support qualification and verification of components, subsystems, and full‑vehicle assemblies.
• Define, document, and oversee vibration, modal survey, and ground vibration test (GVT) campaigns.
• Correlate simulation results with test data and communicate findings clearly.
• Prepare technical reports, analysis documentation, and design justification packages.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of industry experience in structural dynamics, aeroelasticity or vibration engineering.
• Strong ability to correlate experimental data with simulation predictions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with FEA tools such as NASTRAN (Femap or equivalent), Abaqus, or Optistruct.
• Experience with modal, transient, frequency‑response and random vibration analysis.
• Hands‑on experience defining and executing vibration and dynamic test plans.
• Solid grounding in structural dynamics fundamentals (SDOF/MDOF systems, damping, forced response).
