Swiss Immigration Lawyer (Remote-First)

About the role

Richmond Chambers Switzerland, the Swiss branch of a specialist immigration law firm based in London, is looking for an experienced, fully qualified Swiss Avocat(e) to join its growing Swiss immigration practice. The position is permanent, remote-first and flexible at 80% to 100%, with occasional in-person collaboration at the Montreux office. Candidates need to be able to advise clients from the outset and manage matters independently.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on Swiss immigration law, procedure and strategy, and manage matters from initial instruction to conclusion
• Prepare and review applications, evidence, legal submissions and correspondence
• Liaise with cantonal and federal authorities and identify practical solutions to complex cases
• Work on EU/EFTA and third-country residence and work permits, corporate immigration, family reunification, settlement and C permits, citizenship and naturalisation, Schengen and national visas, and immigration issues linked to employment, taxation and corporate structures

Required profile

• Fully qualified Avocat(e) admitted to a Swiss cantonal bar, with about 5 to 10 years of relevant experience
• Meaningful practical experience of Swiss immigration law, which does not need to be the sole area of practice
• Experience dealing directly with cantonal and/or federal authorities
• Right to work in Switzerland; sponsorship is not available
• Fluency in French and English is essential; German is a significant advantage

• CHF 120,000 base salary plus a target bonus of CHF 12,000 (total CHF 132,000 at 100% FTE)
