Systems Engineer – Automation (Windows/VMware)

About the role

Lombard Odier is seeking a Systems Engineer with a strong passion for automation and infrastructure optimisation. You will join a team of 15 system‑engineering experts responsible for a global environment of more than 7,000 servers, focusing on Windows technologies and VMware automation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain advanced PowerShell scripts to automate system administration tasks.
• Deploy, maintain and optimise VMware Aria / vRealize Automation workflows and blueprints.
• Administer and evolve Windows platforms, including Windows Server, Active Directory, ADFS, GPO and SCCM.
• Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives and support migration projects.
• Ensure performance, security and reliability across virtual and physical infrastructure.
• Collaborate with network, security and development teams to integrate automation solutions.

Required profile

• Excellent command of Windows Server administration.
• Strong expertise in PowerShell scripting, modules, APIs and end‑to‑end automation.
• Experience with VMware automation tools such as VMware Aria and vRealize Automation.
• Ability to work in a large‑scale, globally distributed technical environment.
