Talent Acquisition Specialist – Engineering & Life Sciences

About the role

Techfirm Engineering is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to support its growing engineering and Life Sciences business in Basel. You will act as a partner to hiring managers, build pipelines of qualified candidates, and ensure a professional, engaging recruitment experience from first contact to offer.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment for engineering, quality, regulatory, validation, data and Life Sciences roles.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define hiring needs and develop sourcing strategies.
• Identify, approach and engage candidates through direct sourcing, networking, referrals and recruitment platforms.
• Build and nurture talent pools within the Basel Life Sciences and engineering ecosystem.
• Conduct interviews, assess motivation and fit, and support hiring decisions.
• Maintain a smooth candidate experience and contribute to employer branding initiatives.
• Monitor market trends, salary expectations and competitor activity.
• Support recruitment reporting, pipeline tracking and continuous process improvement.

Required profile

• Master’s degree with a strong interest in technical projects and people interaction.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Basel.
• Fluent in English and German.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive attitude.
