Team Head, Emerging Markets Documentation Specialists

About the role

As Team Head, Emerging Markets Documentation, you will lead client documentation activities for Private Banking clients across LATAM, GSAA and Middle East regions. You will collaborate with Front Office, Compliance, Legal, AFC and Operations to ensure high‑quality onboarding, regulatory compliance and consistent documentation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end onboarding and documentation for new clients and support periodic reviews of existing relationships.
• Provide strategic guidance on documentation standards, controls and operating practices across the covered regions.
• Act as subject‑matter expert for Front Office and control functions, advising on KYC/AML, FATCA, CRS and complex documentation matters.
• Review, assess and approve client documentation, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Perform account opening activation, codification of documentation and maintenance activities within Avaloq.
• Support regulatory reporting, audit requests, remediation initiatives and other business‑driven projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• 8‑10+ years of experience in client documentation, lifecycle management or onboarding within an international private bank.
• Strong expertise in Swiss private banking documentation requirements (CDB, CRS, FATCA) and experience with emerging‑markets clients, especially in the Middle East.
• Fluent English; Arabic language skills are a strong asset.
• Proven ability to lead and coordinate stakeholders across multiple locations.
