Technical Analyst – Vulnerability Management

About the role

The National Cyber Security Centre is looking for a Technical Analyst to strengthen vulnerability management across critical infrastructure. You will work closely with hardware and software producers, ethical hackers, and partner organisations to identify, analyse and remediate security gaps.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse technical vulnerabilities in hardware and software and support operators of critical infrastructure.
• Plan, run and manage a bug‑bounty programme, liaise with ethical hackers and triage security gaps.
• Conduct or oversee security testing, develop counter‑measures, write reports and publish findings.
• Design concepts for new security tools and solutions, leveraging emerging technologies.
• Maintain active dialogue with national and international partners, monitor cyber‑threat trends and implement preventive measures.

Required profile

• University‑level qualification in IT or cybersecurity.
• Deep understanding of current cyber‑threat landscape and attack methods.
• Experience in software development, penetration testing or bug‑bounty activities.
• Strong communication and coordination skills for working with partner organisations.
• Fluency in English and at least one other official Swiss language.
