Technical Consultant - Medium Voltage Drives (80-100%)

About the role

ABB is hiring a Technical Consultant for its medium voltage drives, reporting to the Manager Product Field Performance. The role provides advanced technical support for medium voltage drives used in process control and energy savings, and plays a key part in ABB's global service network. It is based in Turgi, Switzerland, with a hybrid work model.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the resolution of complex service cases on site (hands-on) and bring back learnings for continuous product improvement
• Take the lead to exceed the expected field performance of an evolving product
• Provide technical guidance to other support levels and ensure know-how transfer between service and support functions
• Establish and guide cross-functional resolution expert teams and share lessons learned within the organization
• Drive product improvements based on field learnings and contribute to 24/7 service support availability

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification; no previous work experience required
• Open-minded and flexible, with availability for global travel on demand and field interventions
• Structured and methodical approach, strong motivation to learn and develop
• Ability to drive innovation and product improvement, solution-oriented mindset
• Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage
