Technical Customer Success Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a technically‑skilled Customer Success Engineer to partner with national and international organisations on the design, installation and operation of globally‑deployed network security solutions. You will guide customers from concept through production deployment and act as the technical voice between development and sales.

Key responsibilities

• Learn and master Open Systems’ service portfolio and configuration management.
• Engage with customers’ technical teams to gather requirements and recommend best‑practice designs.
• Deploy and configure Open Systems services in coordination with customers.
• On‑board new customers and provide first‑class technical support.
• Serve as the interface between development and sales, conveying customer needs.
• Participate in the Mission Control organization to ensure stable operations for the entire customer base.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in networking and cybersecurity.
• Proven experience in technical customer success engineering, professional services, solution architecture or technical consulting.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑first consulting mindset.
• Fluent English and working knowledge of German.

Required skills

• Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Networking protocols: TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, SMTP, SSH, DNS, BGP, OSPF.
• Network security technologies: firewalls, secure web gateways, CASB, VPN, IDS/IPS, email security, ZTNA, remote access.
• Design and implementation of global WAN and hub topologies, including SD‑WAN.
• Self‑motivated, proactive team player.
