Technical Manager – Luxury Hotels and Chalets, Gstaad

About the role

Fouquet's Gstaad, the Barrière Group's new luxury destination in Switzerland opening in December 2026, is looking for a Technical Manager (M/F). The role oversees the maintenance, safety and technical operations of four properties in the Gstaad area: the hotel, a private chalet and two staff houses. It is a full-time executive position with a 5 days on / 2 days off schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the technical operations, maintenance and upkeep of the hotel, chalet and two staff houses, and manage and supervise the technical team, including planning, task allocation, training and performance follow-up.
• Implement and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance programmes so that all technical installations and facilities work reliably.
• Ensure compliance with Swiss technical, safety, fire prevention and regulatory requirements, including inspections, certifications, documentation and corrective actions.
• Coordinate repairs, technical interventions, contractors and suppliers, ensuring quality, deadlines and cost control.
• Lead renovation, refurbishment and technical improvement projects from planning to completion.
• Anticipate technical needs so properties are ready for owners, guests and VIPs, and report regularly to management on maintenance, incidents, risks, projects and investment needs.

Required profile

• Swiss-recognised technical qualification (CFC or equivalent) in electrical engineering, HVAC, building services, mechanics, plumbing or a related field; additional Swiss technical certifications are an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar technical management or supervisory role, ideally in luxury hospitality, hotels, private estates or high-end residential properties.
• Proven experience managing a technical team and coordinating external contractors and suppliers.
• Project management experience, especially in renovation and refurbishment.
• Fluent French and English; German is an advantage. Must be based in Gstaad or willing to relocate, with a valid driving licence.

What we offer

• Annual gross package of 87,750 CHF (13 months, 6,750 CHF base salary, 13th month paid after the 2-month probation).
