Technical Project Manager - Rolling Stock

About the role

agap2 is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead rolling‑stock projects from concept to delivery. You will act as the technical bridge between clients, suppliers and internal teams, ensuring projects meet rail industry standards and customer specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle, from definition and planning through validation and hand‑over.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams including engineering, production, quality and procurement.
• Ensure compliance with rail safety regulations, industry standards and client requirements.
• Maintain budgets, schedules and resource plans, reporting status to management and customers.
• Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies.
• Prepare technical documentation, status reports and presentations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in technical project management within the rail or transportation sector.
• Strong understanding of complex technical systems and integration processes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English; additional languages are a plus.
• Structured, solution‑oriented and proactive working style with leadership qualities.
