VIP Deskside Technician

About the role

The Stefanini Group is looking for a VIP Deskside Technician to deliver reliable IT operations and high-quality technical support in a dynamic environment. You will support executives and VIP users on site, while contributing to the smooth running of IT systems, infrastructure and business applications.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on-site IT support: troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment, emergency repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Act as the first point of contact for executives and VIP users, keeping strict confidentiality.
• Prepare and configure devices for important meetings and business travel, and plan and run town halls and company-wide meetings, including Microsoft Teams sessions.
• Coordinate event setup and rehearsals, test audio, video and streaming, and provide live technical support during events.
• Maintain the local network and infrastructure, including patching, labelling and documenting network cabinets, and checking switch ports and VLANs.
• Use basic knowledge of IP addressing, DHCP, DNS and VPN to troubleshoot network issues and escalate complex incidents.
• Monitor business applications, test websites and applications, and carry out initial fault isolation before escalating issues.
• Support information security measures such as firewalls and message encryption, and help implement and maintain databases and software licences.
• Purchase IT equipment, follow up on orders and invoices, and contribute to continuous improvement of IT operations.

Required profile

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Practical IT support experience, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
• Experience with IT testing, data collection and analysis.
• German and English.
• Strong customer focus, ability to work independently, good decision-making and attention to detail.
• Ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality with senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• Networking fundamentals: LAN, Wi-Fi, DHCP and DNS.
• Network and IT security principles.
• Familiarity with event technology and audio-visual equipment.
• IT data management and software maintenance.
