VIP Deskside Technician

About the role

The Stefanini Group is looking for a VIP Deskside Technician to deliver reliable IT operations and high-quality technical support in a dynamic environment. You will support executives and VIP users and help keep IT systems, infrastructure and business applications running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on-site IT support: troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment, emergency repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Support executives and VIP users discreetly and as their first point of contact for IT issues.
• Prepare and configure devices for important meetings and business travel, keeping strict confidentiality.
• Plan and run town halls and company-wide meetings, including Microsoft Teams sessions, and coordinate event setup, rehearsals and audio/video testing.
• Maintain the local network and infrastructure, including patching, labelling and documenting network cabinets, and checking switch ports and VLANs.
• Troubleshoot wired and Wi-Fi connectivity, using IP addressing, DHCP, DNS and VPN knowledge, and escalate complex incidents.
• Monitor business applications, test websites and applications, and carry out initial fault isolation.
• Test and install databases, support information security measures such as firewalls and encryption, and purchase and monitor IT equipment and software licences.

Required profile

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Practical IT support experience, including troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently, make good decisions and keep confidential information secure.
• German and English.

Required skills

• Networking fundamentals: LAN, Wi-Fi, DHCP and DNS.
• Network and IT security principles.
• IT testing, data collection and analysis.
• Familiarity with event technology and audio-visual equipment.
