Visual Inspection Operator – Sterile Products (GMP)

About the role

We are looking for a Visual Inspection Operator to ensure the integrity of sterile pharmaceutical products. The role is based in a GMP‑compliant environment and involves both project‑based set‑up of inspection processes and routine visual inspection of liquid and freeze‑dried vials and syringes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in defining and implementing manual, semi‑automatic and fully‑automatic visual inspection processes during project phases.
• Support commissioning, qualification and validation of new inspection equipment and related procedures.
• Perform GMP‑compliant visual inspections of sterile vials and syringes, classify defects and record results in MES and logbooks.
• Prepare inspection rooms and equipment, conduct light measurements, and handle sample transfers and storage.
• Identify and report deviations, contribute to root‑cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with process experts to optimise manufacturing processes.

Required profile

• Fluent German (mandatory); English is a plus.
• Strong understanding of sterile production and GMP/EHS requirements.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and adapt to a two‑shift schedule.
• Problem‑solving mindset with a focus on quality and safety.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
• Familiarity with SAP.
