Programme Officer – Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM)

About the role

The Programme Officer (Displacement Tracking Matrix – DTM) will support IOM’s global DTM operations from Geneva, working under the Global DTM Coordinator and the Head of Operations (DTM). The role focuses on strengthening DTM methodologies, coordinating with country missions and regional partners, and contributing to data‑driven solutions for internal displacement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct support to country missions and Regional DTM Hubs (RDHs) in implementing DTM activities.
• Coordinate targeted deployments and ensure alignment with global DTM standards.
• Assist in the development and refinement of DTM methodologies and data‑collection tools.
• Facilitate engagement with governments, inter‑agency initiatives and other external partners on data for solutions.
• Lead specific solutions initiatives in collaboration with sector leads, regional and country offices.

Required profile

• Relevant academic background and experience in migration, displacement, or humanitarian data management.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural, multi‑stakeholder environment.
• Strong analytical and coordination skills.
