About the role
Meijer is seeking an Overnight Team Leader to oversee store operations during night hours. You will mentor and coach team members, ensure a positive customer experience, and drive sales while maintaining store standards.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and supervise daily operations across multiple departments.
- Mentor, coach, and train team members to meet Meijer service standards.
- Implement strategies to improve customer service and increase sales.
- Maintain store appearance, product presentation, and compliance with company standards.
- Handle staffing, hiring, and succession planning.
- Apply disciplinary actions and make recommendations for terminations.
- Manage P&L, achieve sales targets, and control shrink.
- Promote a safe work environment and ensure reliable attendance.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2‑3 years of retail experience.
- At least 1 year of management experience.
- Experience in multiple store areas (meat, bakery, produce, deli, customer service) is a plus.
- Strong communication, conflict‑resolution, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to analyze financial and statistical data for decision‑making.
