Overnight Team Leader

About the role

Meijer is seeking an Overnight Team Leader to oversee store operations during night hours. You will mentor and coach team members, ensure a positive customer experience, and drive sales while maintaining store standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise daily operations across multiple departments.
• Mentor, coach, and train team members to meet Meijer service standards.
• Implement strategies to improve customer service and increase sales.
• Maintain store appearance, product presentation, and compliance with company standards.
• Handle staffing, hiring, and succession planning.
• Apply disciplinary actions and make recommendations for terminations.
• Manage P&L, achieve sales targets, and control shrink.
• Promote a safe work environment and ensure reliable attendance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2‑3 years of retail experience.
• At least 1 year of management experience.
• Experience in multiple store areas (meat, bakery, produce, deli, customer service) is a plus.
• Strong communication, conflict‑resolution, and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical data for decision‑making.
