Applied AI Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an Applied AI Engineer to join our team. You will work directly with customers to understand how they operate, identify high‑leverage opportunities, and build AI‑powered solutions that solve real problems.

Key responsibilities

• Own customer‑specific AI solutions end‑to‑end, from problem definition through building, deploying, evaluating, and continuous improvement.
• Build on our platform and internal tooling to create reusable AI‑powered solutions that scale to thousands of end users.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and ML teams to enhance AI features of the core product and make the platform smarter over time.
• Assist customers and their technical or innovation teams to maximize value from DeepJudge through hands‑on guidance, tooling, and documentation.
• Evaluate emerging LLM models, techniques, and approaches, and bring promising innovations into production.
• Proactively identify opportunities and issues, coordinating across teams to move critical work forward quickly.

Required profile

• Built technically ambitious projects using LLMs via APIs, frameworks such as DSPy, LangChain, LangGraph, or custom implementations.
• Proficient in Python or JavaScript.
• Exceptional written and verbal communicator who quickly builds trust with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Highly customer‑oriented with strong intuition for value creation and a deep commitment to shipping quality solutions.
• Persistent problem‑solver comfortable in fast‑moving environments where you must figure things out on the fly.
• Willing to develop domain expertise in the legal sector over time (no legal background required).
• Focus on ability, judgment, and potential rather than a specific number of years of experience.
