Backend Software Engineer – Indexing

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer to own and evolve our indexing system, the core of our high‑performance search engine. You will work with a talented team to build scalable, low‑latency services that process hundreds of millions of documents.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient, scalable backend services using modern tools and frameworks.
• Take ownership of core components of our indexing infrastructure.
• Collaborate with other engineers to define, design, and ship new features.
• Optimize performance and scalability across data processing pipelines.
• Integrate with third‑party data providers and use their APIs.
• Review code and contribute to high standards of quality and maintainability.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of experience as a Backend Software Engineer, preferably in a fast‑growing environment.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to think about performance at scale.
• Clear communication and collaborative teamwork.

Required skills

• Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Python, Rust, Go, or C++.
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with modern web architectures and cloud platforms.
