Benefits Assistant – Client Services (Geneva)

About the role

The United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF) is seeking two Benefits Assistants to join its Client Services Unit in Geneva. Reporting to the Benefits Officer, you will support participants, retirees and member‑organisation staff on complex pension and benefit matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide detailed information on participation, entitlements, validation, restoration, transfer of pension rights and available benefit options.
• Route requests to appropriate services within Pension Administration and ensure timely follow‑up.
• Respond to enquiries in person, by phone or in writing, drafting correspondence on complex pension issues.
• Conduct research to ensure responses comply with UNJSPF regulations and the Pension Adjustment System.

Required profile

• Strong analytical ability to interpret pension regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with international clients.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with multiple internal units.
