Benefits Assistant – UN Joint Staff Pension Fund

About the role

The United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF) is seeking three Benefits Assistants to join its Pension Entitlements Section in Geneva. Reporting to a Benefits Officer, you will support the calculation and processing of pension entitlements for staff, retirees and beneficiaries across the Fund.

Key responsibilities

• Perform administrative formalities and calculate pension fund entitlements for individual staff members.
• Execute calculations for periodic pension benefits, lump‑sum commutations, withdrawals, settlements and residual settlements using the Integrated Pension Administration System (IPAS).
• Analyse new staff files to determine participation rights and gather required information from member organisations.
• Produce estimates of future benefit options and withdrawal/residual settlements.
• Maintain accurate accounting records for payments executed by the Geneva Office.

Required profile

• Strong numerical and analytical abilities to handle complex pension calculations.
• Attention to detail in reviewing staff files and ensuring compliance with Fund regulations.
• Ability to work under the supervision of a Benefits Officer and collaborate with the Chief of the Pension Entitlements Section.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Integrated Pension Administration System (IPAS).
