Buying Assistant (International Procurement)

About the role

This role supports the Offline & Online strategy of a leading international health and beauty retailer, driving cost optimisation and margin improvement across European markets. You will work with the International Buying team to manage tenders, supplier relationships and contract administration.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate end‑to‑end international tender processes, from supplier sourcing and NDA set‑up to RFI/RFP preparation and contract execution.
• Support the buying team with cost optimisation activities, reporting, meeting organisation and follow‑up actions.
• Manage contract administration, including extensions, tracking key terms and ensuring compliance.
• Facilitate communication between Zurich, European business units and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Continuously improve processes by introducing AI‑assisted tools for templating, contract tracking and deadline management.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an assistant, coordination or procurement support role within a fast‑paced commercial environment.
• Strong attention to detail and high accuracy when handling data, contracts and financial information.
• Confident communicator able to build relationships with stakeholders across different markets.
• Fluent in English; additional European languages such as German or Dutch are a strong advantage.
• Proactive, energetic mindset with a natural drive to improve processes.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Canva and openness to leveraging AI and digital platforms.
