Deploy & Configuration Engineer

About the role

As a Deploy & Configuration Engineer you will own the end‑to‑end deployment lifecycle for Avaloq’s wealth‑management solutions, ensuring that changes reach production safely, consistently and on schedule. You will act as the bridge between project delivery teams and service operations, guaranteeing operational stability while supporting rapid innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and orchestrate deployment activities across all environments, serving as the quality gate for releases.
• Coordinate technical teams (infrastructure, platform, middleware, application) to align timelines, resolve dependencies and clear blockers.
• Maintain environment stability, configure test environments and ensure readiness for release cycles.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation and standardisation of deployment processes.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and weekend deployments as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in deployment, release or environment management within enterprise IT.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as OCI, AWS or Azure.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross‑functional technical teams.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to communicate status to stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments with multiple concurrent initiatives.
